A Dream - 4 How a Dream Starts? (2023)
'A Dream' is an installation of three wall paintings and one giant neuron sculpture. I did this project before the Groenewald's house was demolished. The project was on for a week from the start. Kids helped me to paint some part of each state, and during the opening/closing, everyone could add, take, or even destroy A Dream.
Me: There are some moments when we gaze at something and then return to what we were doing; that's how a dream starts.
Chat GPT: A Dream typically starts in the brain during the rapid eye movement REM stage of sleep. During REM, the brain stem reduces chemicals that inhibit muscle activity and trigger the onset of dreams. The Visual and sensory experiences of dreams are believed to be generated by the brain's cortex, which integrates information from various sensory and memory systems.
