The series of work at The Faro Design is a selection of Elnaz Nourizadeh ceramics. In response to the invite from MEC, Elnaz is presenting a selection of her decorative-functional ceramics, which she made and designed in her studio in Coburg North.

In this series, Elnaz shows the design focusing on natural elements. However, her main focus is on the connection between things; she uses inspiration from nature to bring attention back to what we perceive and understand from these phonemes and our existence in relationships with other experiences. Each item is a unique artwork; she calls it "a painting to be used." She hand-paints each one individually to create a unique experience and connection with its place.

Elnaz is interested in commission-based design. She privately works with interior designers and clients to create unique items that complement the location's design. The items she designs develop through a series of conversations, an understanding of the place, and step-by-step communication to create a site-specific item.
