'She is the Queen' was born from an image in my head while meditating; the shape was vivid and detailed. I stopped meditating and started to google: "old lady, Mexican, or Greek". I found a photo close to what I perceived; sadly, Google didn't reference the photographer. The next step was to search for native American masks, and I found what I was looking for: the sign of a circle on the forehead. For the stairs, I know I should trust my feelings and let them shape as I build the face.
